Today, I went to a Naturalization for Immigrants to become citizens in the United States. It was such an awesome experience, I am so happy I attended it. Many of my professors suggested that we go to it because it is so moving. I am not going to lie. I cried a little bit. Those people took it upon themselves to make their life better as well as the lives of their children. Their families were there to support them. Over 20 countries were represented amongst the 61 people who became citizens. This was the 2nd time UNI has held this event and I hope they continue to do this in the future so more UNI students and faculty can attend and learn about these inspiring people.
